Model deprecation (gpt 5.2 series) with Copilot Student

Hello! I'm writing to enquire about the recent model deprecation notice for GPT 5.2 models.
Although islt is an old model, for Student plans 5.2 Codex was the only selectable model in the GPT codex family for Cloud Agent (coding agent?), aside from Auto.
For harder coding tasks, can we still rely on Auto to route us to 5.3 Codex on both Cloud Agent and Visual Studio Code surfaces?
Due to turbulent times, it may be difficult to respond to this question specifically. Still, if you have the capacity, I would appreciate a confirmation.
