Hi all,

I need urgent help regarding an organization that was accidentally deleted from my GitHub account. The organization name was gabesiot, and I was the administrator.

Details:

Deletion Date: 16 November 2025

Support Ticket Number: #3905353

This deletion also removed all associated repositories, which contained critical company projects. The impact is significant and urgent, as we rely heavily on these repositories for ongoing development.

I’ve already submitted a support ticket, but have not received a response yet. Could someone from the GitHub team or community please advise if it's possible to restore the organization and its repositories, assuming they are still within the grace period?

Any help or direction would be deeply appreciated.

If the gabesiot organization was deleted recently, there may still be a chance to recover it, since GitHub usually keeps a retention period before permanently removing the data.

Since you’ve already opened ticket #3905353, the best thing to do now is to wait for a response from the support team, as they are the only ones with access to the tools needed to restore both the organization and its associated repositories, as long as they are still within the recovery window.

I’m not part of the GitHub team, but I agree with the points mentioned above. Since you’ve already created support ticket #3905353, only GitHub Support will be able to help restore the deleted organization and its repositories.

The best thing right now is to wait for their response and avoid recreating the organization name. Make sure to keep an eye on your email in case they reach out.
